“Trouble in Paradise is a critical study covering the socio-spatial elements of rural areas in Poland. The aim of the curatorial project prepared for the Polish Pavilion is to question the previous understanding of the urban-rural opposition by placing it in a multidisciplinary perspective. In this context, the exhibition pays particular attention to the theoretical gaps in the elaboration of the long-standing migration from the city to the countryside. The curatorial project proposes a holistic view of the territory as a space in which forms of settlement, types of work, lifestyles, family relations, mutual relationships, but also socio-political conflicts shape how we live together.” Plato Issaias, Hamed Khosravi
