We invite you to another lecture by Dr. Cezary Wąs from the cycle of 20th century Masters of Architecture. This time we will focus on the works of the Viennese architectural studio Coop Himmelb(l)au.

Coop Himmelb(l)au’s projects are considered to be the most daring architectural fantasies in the world and constantly surprise architecture critics. Changes in the personal composition of the ensemble, existing since 1968, did not hinder its aspirations to polemics with the established principles of architectural creativity. Nowadays, however, such an attitude is subject to the laws of the market and has become a product desired by investors. The lecture on the sources of the ensemble’s architecture is supposed to remind us of its ideological rootedness in the climate of the rebellion of 1968.
