Terra X [- ∞]. Archive of the Future - guided tours

8.1.2020–19.2.2020

The curators of the exhibition, Małgorzata Devosges Cuber and Michał Duda, will take you on a unique journey through time: first, we will go back to the 1970s and the legendary intentional architecture exhibitions Terra 1 and Terra 2, and then we will take a step forward and learn about the concepts of contemporary architects about the form and role of architecture of the future. What is the difference between visions of the world that are almost half a century away and those of today? What do they have in common? What future awaits earthly civilization? And do we still have time to change this future? For curatorial tours of the exhibition “Terra X [- ∞]. Archive of the Future” we invite you to the Museum of Architecture on the last two Wednesdays of January -22 and 29 January 2020, always at 16.30. Admission is free.

The exhibition “Terra X [- ∞]. Archive of the Future” is an inspiring show devoted to the future of architecture and civilisation. Concepts from forty-four years ago have been juxtaposed with contemporary proposals from artists and artists working within the European Future Architecture Platform. It is also an unexpected opportunity to re-receive at least some of the works presented at the international exhibition Terra 1 in 1975. - the first exhibition of intentional architecture, organised at the initiative of the Wrocław architect Stefan Müller. But most of all, the Wrocław exhibition is an event that shows an over-generational reflection on the future of man on earth. The nationality of the architects, their place of work, time - they do not matter, as they share similar anxiety, similar questions about tomorrow and similar disagreement with the unchangeability of the state of affairs.

The tour will take place in Polish.
