"Photographs by Stefan Arczyński: Chinese Roofs”
Stefan Arczyński – photographer – resident of Wrocław by choice, born in 1916 in Essen to Polish emigrants, where he received his education and started work as a photographer in 1935. He took pictures of World War II and its destructions. With the same commitment he photographed historic monuments, nature and people.
Another trend in his creativity are images from his numerous travels around the globe.
The exhibition „Chinese Roofs” was first shown in Wrocław in 1959, just after Stefan Arczyński returned from his exotic journey. Today, nearly 60 years later, once again the artist shares with us his fascination of China.
Since 1951, Stefan Arczyński is a member of the Association for Polish Photographic Artists (ZPAF).
