The building of the Wrocław Electronic Computing Technology Plant at Ofiar Oświęcimskich Street, designed by Anna and Jerzy Tarnawski, aroused admiration among the inhabitants of Wrocław in the late 1960s, when it was completed, and quickly became a symbol of the development of Wrocław’s computer industry.

In his richly illustrated work, the author did not limit himself to the history of this building and its analysis. He broadened the subject matter, making the book a broad, multithreaded story about the post-war city, about the culture of Wrocław and its specificity. The book was written as part of the Wrocław Publishing Programme run by the Strefa Kultury Wrocław.
